After leaving high school, and even before that, I dreamed of working within the video game industry. However after years of study and honing my art skills I helped create a small indie dev team by the name of Playground Heroes, however after a lack of funds the studio had to shut down, distraught I turned my skills in the 2d medium to television and was successfully hired as a full-time animator (and head of 3D environment art) for Planet 55 Studios and began work on a kids show for the ABC Titled Prisoner Zero. After a year of working as an animator, my work was unfortunately outsourced to another country leaving me with no clue what to do. I decided to head to Melbourne to try to find work, however, after half a year of searching, I had to concede defeat and move back to Sydney. Being back in the same place, not knowing what to do or where to go I thought, What do I love doing? I’ve always enjoyed making tutorial content and loved to learn new things. So with that in mind, I decided to turn to a path of teaching and attended Uni. Only time will tell if this was the right move (It totally was) and whether or not I will be able to live the dream and teach English overseas in Japan.
